Artist's Statement :

“Working in clay is not what I planned—it just happened.”
For me, pottery is a form of meditation, a romantic dance with the earth. Clay nourishes my soul, drawing inspiration from nature’s wonders. It unfolds its own world of textures, patterns, forms, and functions. I strive to weave beauty, simplicity, and harmony into my art while pushing the boundaries of ceramic traditions and techniques. I am continually amazed at how the same tree can spark new ideas in varied contexts. I strive to capture the earthy tones of soil and rock, enchanted by the intricate fissures of parched earth and the graceful dance of branches and leaves. Using nature as my guide, I express these everyday visuals through clay. This is where my deepest thoughts and desires take form, merging my essence with my art. In those fleeting moments, a piece of me is immortalized in clay, finding its voice in the world. Each piece I create aims to evoke a deeper sense of existence.
I love the thought of my pots being part of daily life, used and cherished. Perhaps one day, a thousand years from now, archaeologists will unearth them and glimpse the stories they hold!
